Work and Worship Sunday!

With all of the craziness that Covid-19 has brought upon us, it has been difficult to keep up with everything that needs to be done on the church campus.

So, in an effort to build community in the age of social distancing while accomplishing much-needed tasks at the same time, we are hosting our first ever Work and Worship Sunday!

On Sunday, September 13, we will be meeting at 10:00 am for a time of praise and worship as a church family. After this short time of worship, we will move outside (weather-permitting) and work on some much-needed projects. Projects include:

Trim Hedges
Weed Flower Beds
Removal of old parking timbers on east side of parking lot
Removal of overgrowth along tree-line near annex
Removal of large, dying bush in flower bed near kid's theater
Clean gutters and roof drains
Removal/Repair of cross in flower bed near main entrance

In order to accomplish these tasks, we will need people and equipment. Some equipment needed to complete tasks include:

Heavy duty pruning shears
Truck and chain to pull dying bush from flower bed
Truck and/or trailer to haul away parking timbers
Hedge Trimmers

If you have any of the equipment listed here, and you are willing to lend/use it to help us accomplish these tasks, please comment below.

If you are unable to do physical/manual work outside, we plan to have a station set-up under the church overhang for distribution of water and snacks along with a master list of projects we will be working on. We will need a few volunteers to man this station, so there will be a few opportunities that do not include physical labor.

We are excited about this unique opportunity to worship and work together as a church family, and we hope that you will join us. Oh, and one more thing...

We will have pizza for everyone, so you don't even have to leave for lunch!!! We hope to see you on the 13th for Work and Worship!!!
